Notice! Planning Board Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that there will be a Public Hearing before the Town of New Baltimore Planning Board 7:00 p.m., May 9, 2024, at the Town Hall, 3809 County Route 51, Hannacroix, New York. The subject of the Public Hearing will be the application submitted by Marie Cross Ostoyich for a two-lot minor subdivision of property owned at 77 Hillcrest Road in the Town of New Baltimore. All persons wishing to be heard in favor or opposition will have such opportunity at the time and place stated above.

Bid Notice

The Board of Fire Commissioners of the New Baltimore Fire District will receive bids for the replacement of the roof on the Gill Road Firehouse located at 77 Gill Road in New Baltimore, NY 12124. Said bid will include the following work.

Remove all existing shingles, drip edge, and underlayment from roof.
Replace any necessary plywood
Install new drip edge around perimeter of roof
Install ice and water shield on all eves and valleys of roof.
Install synthetic felt on remainder of the roof.
Install GAF architectural shingles (color tbd)
Replace all roof boots, smaller vents, and ridge
Clean up and remove all debris
Bidders will inspect all commercial hoods, and vents to verify that they are in good condition and reusable.
The winning bidder must provide proof of liability and work comp. insurance prior to commencing work, One million dollars liability Required.
Winning bidder will be required to repair any lawn damage created while preforming work.

All bids shall be mailed to the New Baltimore Fire District PO Box 390 New Baltimore NY 12124 by 5pm on 5/9/2024 all bids will be opened publicly and the project will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder. The New Baltimore Fire District has the right to accept or refuse any unacceptable bid. All bids must be in a sealed envelope marked roof bid.

TOWN BOARD WORK MEETING DATE CHANGE

New Baltimore's Town Board Work Meeting has been moved to May 30th due to Memorial Day landing on the usual Work Meeting date. The meeting will start at 7PM at Town Hall, 3809 County Route 51 Hannacroix, NY.

Free Rabies Clinics in Greene County

Public Health Law requires all cats, dogs, and ferrets to be vaccinated for rabies starting at 12 weeks old. To help our residents comply with this law, we offer free rabies clinics each year.

PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED! Please call 518-719-3600 or visit: https://www.greenegovernment.com/free-rabies-clinics to register your dogs/cats/ferrets. If you are feeding a stray, please bring them to be vaccinated.

The 2024 Rabies Clinics will be held Wednesday evenings at Angelo Canna Town Park in Cairo, NY on the following dates:

May 15 @ 5-7pm
June 19 @ 5-7pm
August 14 @ 5-7pm
September 18 @ 5-7pm

Clinic Information
This is a DRIVE-UP ONLY clinic; please be prepared with proper leashes, carriers, and muzzles (if necessary) for your animals to keep them and others safe. You must present proof of pet’s previous vaccination (certificate, not tag) to receive a 3-year certificate; if no record is present, pet will be given 1-year certificate.

TOWN ROADSIDE CLEAN-UP DAYS

The annual New Baltimore Townwide Roadside Cleanup will be May 18-19 and May 25-26. The Town Clerk’s Office will be distributing orange bags to interested persons and they can register the portion of road that is being cleaned. Sign-up sheets are also available at the Town Recycling Center, 3690 County Route 51, on Wednesday and Saturday from 8 AM-12PM.

Securely tied orange bags are to be left at the side of the road and will be picked up on Monday, May 20 and Monday, May 27 by the Town Highway Department. Any questions can be directed to the Town Clerk at (518)756-6671, Ext. 5.
