The Justice Court of the Town of New
Baltimore is in session every Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. Please
be prompt. We ask that you dress appropriately for court.
There are two Town Justices, one elected
every two years for a four-year term, in the Town of New
Baltimore. They are assisted by a Court Clerk, Lynn Taylor and a
Deputy Court Clerk, Sheri Jourdin. The Justice Court has general
jurisdiction over criminal, civil, and vehicle and traffic within the
Town. There is a Small Claims part of the Court - with
jurisdiction up to $3000.00. However, jurisdiction is based upon
the Defendant living, working or maintaining a place of business in New
Baltimore.
The
New Baltimore Court is now accepting payment of fines by credit
card. The process can be accomplished by calling the Court
Offices during office hours. To pay in person, traffic violations
may be paid from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday at the
Justice Court, located in Town Hall on County Route 51 or mail your
payment to:

Directions to Town
Hall / Justice Court:
From the NYS Thruway (I-87): Exit the Thruway at Exit 21 B
(Coxsackie-New Baltimore). Turn right at the traffic light
after the toll booths onto Route 9W north. Travel 2.3
miles. Turn left onto County Route 51. The Town Hall
(Justice Court) is located ½ mile on the right (3809 County
Route 51).
If you are traveling North on Route 9W, continue past the Thruway
entrance at 21 B (Coxsackie-New Baltimore). Travel 2 miles.
Turn left onto County Route 51. The Town Hall (Justice
Court) is located ½ mile on the right.
If you are traveling South on Route 9W, County Route 51 is 2 miles
south of the traffic light at the five corners in Ravena.
Landmarks: The Hannacroix Post Office and C.A. Albright &
Sons garage is located within view of the intersection of Route 51 and
Route 9W.
